Recent Consultations

Government Discussion Document - Firm Foundations.  (Consultation now closed)

On 31st October the Scottish Government launched a discussion document on the future of housing in Scotland.

Amongst the proposals currently subject to consultation are;

  • development of new sustainable communities,
  • changes in funding for new affordable homes which will incorporate new options for development funding for local authorities,
  • expanded role for private sector housing,
  • new regulatory function which will focus on protecting and promoting the interests of tenants.
  • Removal of 'Right to Buy' for new social housing properties.
